Fluid Measurement Probes
K-Tec Systems provides Vectoflow customizable probes for measuring the angle of attack, pressure, velocity, and temperature in flows.
Vectoflow’s additive manufacturing approach ensures durable and robust devices capable of providing highly accurate measurements of the complex flow environments found in automotive engines, turbomachinery, wind tunnels, wind energy systems, aerospace applications, and more. Vectoflow utilizes 3D printing technology to produce probes in one piece so as to minimize manufacturing imperfections and create stable, long-lasting, highly customizable devices.
The multi-hole probes come in standard 3-, 5-, and 7-hole probe configurations as well as fully customized probe heads. Standard multi-hole probes are available in straight, L-shaped, cobra, and drilled elbow geometries.
Vectoflow multi-hole probes can measure a wide range of flow characteristics:
- Maximum angle of attack of ±160°
- Flow velocities of 5 m/s (16.5 ft/s) up to Mach 2
- Response frequency of 10 Hz to 20 kHz
- Temperatures of -50°C to 2000°C
K-Tec Systems’ thermocouples can also be incorporated into Vectoflow’s devices for simultaneous flow and temperature measurement. Thermocouple wire is carefully selected to meet your application requirements and is integrated into your probe.
